An INTERSTROKE and AVERT study meeting will be held at the UK Stroke Forum conference on Wednesday 01 December in the Alsh venue from 1300 till 1410. There will be two short presentations and an opportunity to ask questions. The meeting is advertised in the UKSF conference programme and is open to delegates. POST: Stroke Researcher for the LoTS care study Band 6 Up to 15 hours per week, flexible 6 months contract (Jul-Dec 2010) The role involves recruiting patients and carers to an existing multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trial funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) The LoTS care (Longer Term Stroke Care) trial is a new approach to delivering longer term support for stroke patients and their carers living in the community. The trial is running in 32 services across the UK. You will recruit patients and carers from Lorn and Islands District Hospital in Oban, Argyll, Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in research and a prestigious programme grant awarded specifically to promote high quality clinically relevant research, while being based on the beautiful west coast of Scotland.
